The photographer must have scaled the heights of one of the tall pine trees above the station at Bishops Cleeve to obtain this unusual view on 18th July 1964. The platform slabs have already been removed but the distinctive stone built signal box remains. No.7023

Honeybourne Junction must have been the scene of plenty of trains diverted through Evesham and Ashchurch on 30th March 1958. This was due to a line-possession for the 'blanketing' of the trackbed north of Weston Sub Edge station.  (By courtesy of Michael Mensing)

View of Milcote, Weston & Welford Station looking southbound c.1961.. The level crossing carried a country lane from Clifford Chambers to Weston-on-Avon. The flat stretch of line from Milcote to Long Marston featured no cuttings or embankments with no less than five level crossings. After the station was closed in 1960 the brickwork went to the Great Western Society at Didcot. (Lens of Sutton)

Willersey Halt was typical of the trestle-platform with Pagoda type shelter that was common on the Western Region. This photo was taken by Clarence Gilbert on 16th September 1928 - Could the young boy, starting a fresh term at school, be his son? Willersey has a special significance in the history of the Glos/Warks Railway because it was on 18th August 1976 that this was the venue for one of the first  public meetings of the
